Reception

At New Horizons Primary School we have 2 rights:

• The right to be safe and the responsibility to follow school and classroom rules.
• The right to learn and the responsibility to use our learning heroes.

Reading and Writing

Children in Reception will begin to learn the letter sounds and phonemes to prepare them for their learning at New Horizons for years to come.

Throughout Reception, children will further develop their hand muscles to encourage pencil control.
